The tree is trimmed
The new nativity is displaced
The annual Girls White Elephant Gift exchange was had (and it remained fairly mild this year!)
The fancy Christmas parties were attended
The extremely painful shoes were worn
Carols were sung
The fire was made
Goodie plates were made and eaten. (We opened one we were supposed to give away--they weren't that good of friends anyway!)
Santa came early to the Grove house this year and we all made out like bandits
HIL-ROD came to my office (this has nothing to do with Christmas but happened last week)
The first snow has fallen on the Capitol and I am ready to head home to Yak-town...three more days!!

You ladies look gorgeous! Love the red velvet shoes, I"m sure they were worth the sore feet! Hurry up and get to Yak, we are waiting, waiting, waiting....
